Never use boiling water, and fill it no more than two thirds full. Hold it upright by the neck and fill slowly, then lay it on a flat surface to let out the air before screwing the stopper in finger-tight. Water from your home's hot tap isn't recommended, as it can shorten the life of the bottle. The first time you use it, fill it with cold water to check it's in perfect condition.
