I think it is unacceptable that there is no provision for people who do not have access to the internet or do not have an email address or cannot afford the internet. If it is supposed to make life easier for the assessors and be quicker why does it take so long to process the information sent in
My first BB was easily acquired. I am not brilliant with online forms but did manage to reapply. I have heard nothing.(no acknowledgment by email). What I find incredible is the fact you have to reapply unlike DVLA driving licence where you just have to inform them if there are any alterations to your ability to drive. Talk about giving councils extra work when we hear they are already overloaded(Why do they need 8/12 weeks to do renewals). I live on my own,I have no Badge at present so unable to go about my business safely. If I had partner they could at least drop me off nearer to any destination!
I know an elderly person who applied for renewal blue badge more than12 weeks and still not received. What is he supposed to do , if you cannot use expired one
