Another speaker not to miss will be Sarah Newton MP from the Department for Work and Pensions. Ms Newton will talk about work going on in Government promoting development and use of innovations in independent living. She will focus on the role of assistive technologies in work and health strategy, and improving opportunities for disability employment. Professor Martin J Vernon, NHS England will speak about national approaches to improving care quality for people living with frailty. Mr Vernon will talk about current national policy drivers to improving quality of care for older people living with long-term frailty. This will include current NHS England approaches to routine frailty identification and evidence-based intervention.
